YOUR ROLE

As a Home Health Care Worker, you’ll play an essential role in providing care and assistance in a client’s home. Your key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, and hygiene

• Administering medications and bedside care

• Providing companionship and emotional support

• Cooking and serving nutritious meals

• Feeding or assisting in feeding

• Performing housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning duties

• Caring for pets

• Changing non-sterile dressings

• Positioning patients and providing mobility assistance

• Delivering basic nursing care (with appropriate training)

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

What you need to succeed with Brian Mansell Caregivers? The skills and requirements for this Home Health Care Worker role include:

• Secondary school graduation certificate

• CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate

• Tracheostomy care training (preferred)

• Health Care Aide Certificate (preferred)

• Experience an asset, but not mandatory

• Physically fit and able to handle 45–60 kg (100–132 lbs)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Must speak English and reside near Richmond, BC

• Criminal record check and references required
