Join the Anglican Diocese of Auckland, a not-for-profit church-based organisation serving communities across Auckland, Northland, and Coromandel. Based in Parnell, the Diocesan Office plays a key role in supporting the mission and ministry of our parishes.

We are currently seeking a Receptionist/Office Support Administrator to join our Administration Services team. If you’re warm, organised, and enjoy being the first point of contact in a values-driven environment, this could be the role for you.

YOUR ROLE

As a Receptionist/Office Support at the Anglican Diocese of Auckland, you will be the welcoming face and helpful voice of the Diocesan Office. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and assisting visitors, staff, and clergy with warmth and professionalism
  • Managing phone calls, emails, voicemails, and general enquiries
  • Supporting meetings and events, including set-up, coordination, and follow-up
  • Maintaining clean, organised shared spaces and supplies
  • Assisting with internal and external communications and newsletters
  • Conducting data entry, record-keeping, and filing
  • General office coordination and administrative support across departments

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

What you need to succeed in this role? The skills and requirements for the Receptionist/Office Support position are listed below:

  • 2+ years of experience in a receptionist or administrative support role
  • Customer service focus and friendly, professional demeanour
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Database experience is a plus
  • Excellent organisation, time management, and attention to detail
  • A valid New Zealand driver’s licence
  • Understanding or interest in charities/church-based organisations is an advantage
  • Willingness to work occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends to support events
