YOUR ROLE
As a Porter – EKAS, you’ll support baggage handling and logistical coordination across Dubai’s airports. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading passenger baggage or cargo shipments
- Collecting and distributing trolleys and baby strollers across terminal areas
- Identifying damaged or mis-tagged luggage and escalating as needed
- Adhering to safety and PPE guidelines while handling goods
- Ensuring trolleys and strollers are clean, safe, and in working condition
- Assisting with billing and cash collection procedures when required
Specialized Duties (Depending on Deployment Area):
- Airport Services: Support the passenger baggage process and ensure efficient mobility aids availability
- Cargo Handling: Follow safety regulations and EU GDP standards for pharmaceutical cargo
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
To succeed in this role, you must meet the following:
- Ability to lift heavy luggage/equipment (over 30kg)
- Basic English reading and speaking skills
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced airport environment
- Prior porter or ground-handling experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Must be able to follow airport safety protocols and customer service guidelines
