Requirements for Delivery Driver (5 Ton):
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following:
- Education: No formal education required
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years driving a 5-ton truck (with P&D experience)
- Languages: English
- Legal Status: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit holder)
Responsibilities as Delivery Driver:
In this role, your key duties will include:
- Operating a 5-ton box truck with deck
- Using power tailgates and pallet jacks for loading/unloading
- Performing handbomb freight delivery to client locations
- Following safe driving practices and maintaining clean driver records
- Using a smartphone to coordinate with dispatch
- Wearing required company uniform and steel-toe boots
- Providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a positive attitude
Additional Information
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Long shifts, up to 12 hours
- Physically demanding – must be able to lift and maneuver heavy freight
- Work performed in various weather conditions
- High attention to safety and detail required
