Requirements for Bakery Manager:
To be eligible for the Bakery Manager position at COBS Bread, you must meet the following:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a bakery, food retail, or similar supervisory role
- Languages: English
- Legal Status: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit holder)
Responsibilities as Bakery Manager:
In this role, your key duties will include:
- Evaluating and organizing daily store and baking operations
- Managing and scheduling staff, training new team members
- Conducting market research to guide merchandising and promotions
- Developing marketing strategies and improving customer engagement
- Planning budgets and overseeing cost control
- Monitoring inventory and coordinating supply orders
- Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and store issues
- Leading team performance and ensuring high bakery standards
Supervision Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of 3–4 employees
- Ensure efficient staffing and shift coverage
- Foster a supportive, collaborative team environment
